VNC is an alternative remote path to the same Ubuntu desktop that you also reach via RDP. Not every workspace offers VNC. Whether it is active for yours is visible in the details on the workspace start page: if so, it lists a VNC host with port or a link to a VNC client in the browser. If these details are missing, use RDP, the usual way to the desktop.
Connecting
As with RDP, access runs through the private Tailscale network unless something else is stated for your workspace. The access details, meaning address, port, and password or token, are on the workspace start page.
- Install a VNC viewer if you do not have one yet, for example TigerVNC or RealVNC Viewer.
- Connect using the host and port from the workspace start page.
- Enter the password or token shown there. The same Ubuntu desktop as with RDP then appears.
If the start page offers a browser-based VNC link, open it in a current browser and follow the instructions on the page; a separate viewer is not needed in that case.
