With this option the servers belong to you. They run in your own account with the cloud provider, and you pay the provider directly. The platform creates the servers through the provider’s API and sets them up automatically, including SSH keys and deploy access; with Hetzner it also configures a firewall and backups. Hetzner Cloud and Hostinger are supported.
The three steps
- Generate an API token with the provider and store it in the platform under Servers → Manage credentials. The platform validates the token when you save it. These credentials belong to the organization and deliberately live with the servers, not under Connections.
- Create a new server of type Hetzner server or Hostinger server via Servers → Add server. The platform creates it in your account and sets it up.
- Select the server when creating or editing a project.

Costs and the alternative
The platform only creates the servers inside your account; the provider bills the server costs directly to you. If you do not want to keep an account with a cloud provider, the managed server is the alternative. There the platform provisions the server itself and bills it through your subscription.
