Install Tailscale from the Google Play Store and open the app. Here too, you do not sign in to the default Tailscale network but to the platform’s server.
Entering the platform’s server
- Open Settings → Accounts and enable Use custom coordination server. The label may differ depending on the app version.
- Enter
https://headscale.application-platform.comas the server URL. - Sign in with the account the platform expects for your workspace user. Your device then belongs to the workspace network.
If your app version does not support signing in to a custom server, set up Tailscale first on a computer running Linux or Windows.
What Android is suitable for
For RDP and desktop development, a PC with Tailscale is the better choice. On an Android device, Tailscale helps on the go, for example to check whether a workspace is running and reachable. The connection details for that are in the Connect dialog as usual; see Connect to your workspace.
